SISTERS OF PROMISE

Twice a day we face an injustice. Each day in Metro Atlanta two African American women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Sisters of Promise, a Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta funded-program, is a group of women focused on changing this statistic.

Lead by fearless leader, Janice McKenzie-Crayton, Sisters of Promise will announce their renewed promise on January 10th. The sisters’ mission is to increase early breast cancer detection and improve survival outcomes for African Americans in Greater Atlanta. Made up of a diverse group of African American women, Sisters of Promise is the first program dedicated solely to reducing breast cancer mortality for women of color in metro Atlanta.

This announcement ties in with Komen Atlanta’s annual fundraising event, Bubbles & Bling (Jan. 27).
