Humana 2019 Senior Games

The annual National Senior Games embodies a culture of active aging, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and establishes an engaged community. Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon in 1967, is proof that taking care of our health and mind does not and should not diminish with age.

Health goes beyond the physical symptoms – it’s a state of general well-being and encompasses a healthy body and mind! Kathrine encourages seniors to pursue healthy social, physical and emotional habits as they age. Every personal health journey begins with a single step, which can be as simple as going for a daily walk around the block or volunteering at a local 5k in your community.
