NEW HOLIDAY ALBUM FROM TOM CHAPLIN

Tom Chaplin (of Keane fame) has made a new video for a touching holiday song called Midnight Mass which was recently released; it’s a song from his new album Twelve Tales of Christmas and the video will melt your heart!
As Tom describes, it is based on a true story of an old guy who ran a dog club in London. He died shortly before Christmas without any close family and friends around him but a memorial was held and attended entirely by the owners of the dogs from his club…and, of course, their faithful friends.”

ABOUT TOM CHAPLIN:
Tom Chaplin’s soaring, emotional voice lay at the center of Keane, the anthemic, multi-million selling British band who scored 5 number one albums between 2004 and 2013, delivering such unforgettable hits as “Everybody’s Changing”, “Is It Any Wonder?” and “Somewhere Only We Know”. But even at the height of his fame, there was a side to the singer hidden from the world. After a three year journey to hell and back, Tom Chaplin returned in 2017 with his extraordinary solo debut The Wave, a self-penned album revealing the real man behind the songs. Chaplin continues to vocalize his journey from utter despair to redemption, love, and self-acceptance with a new Christmas-themed album, TWELVE TALES OF CHRISTMAS which was released on November 17.
About Tom Chaplins’ Twelve Tales of Christmas (Interscope)
“Tom Chaplin takes the road less traveled on “Twelve Tales of Christmas,” recording mostly songs he helped write instead of the well-trodden Christmas chestnuts. He makes it a glorious journey…The best of the four covers is opener “Walking in the Air,” a British favorite which has dozens of versions but benefits here from the purest qualities of Chaplin’s voice.” – Associated Press
“His eight originals build to something of a bittersweet symphony, and they’re fleshed out with equally adept renditions of the Pretenders’ “2000 Miles,” Joni Mitchell’s “River,” East 17’s “Stay Another Day” and Howard Blake’s “Walking in the Air,” the latter of which is from the holiday TV special “The Snowman.” – The Los Angeles Times (3 star review)
“Keane’s Tom Chaplin didn’t want to go prancing through the snow on his new holiday album, Twelve Tales of Christmas. So rather than doing the usual formula of writing a new song or two and covering a selection of the well-worn favorites, Chaplin penned eight songs for the set and chose some decidedly non-perky songs from others — including Joni Mitchell’s ‘River.'” Billboard exclusive debut of River
“Covers of The Pretenders Two Thousand Miles and Joni Mitchell’s River are tender; piano-led originals like Midnight Mass, a reflection of the pull that the irreligious feel, bring a mood of communion to the album.” – The Sunday Times
“As Thanksgiving turkeys fill the dining table and twinkling lights hang from every lamppost, Tom Chaplin’s Twelve Tales of Christmas kicks off the season with a dozen cool and contemplative tracks.” – The Huffington Post
“Twelve Tales of Christmas gives a unique perspective on the various emotions (not all cheery) that bubble up during the holidays.” – Yahoo Music
