March is Red Cross Month, a time to recognize the life-saving impact of blood donors across the country. Dr. Yvette Miller of the American Red Cross explains how donors are also gaining valuable health insights thanks to free A1C screenings offered with successful blood, platelet, or plasma donations.
The screening helps people better understand their risk for diabetes, giving donors important information that could help them take proactive steps for their health—while also helping save lives.
