BRANDSPARK’S 2017 BEST NEW PRODUCT AWARDS
For the ninth year in a row Brandspark is out with its list of the best new products. All the winning products – from snacks to skin creams – were chosen by real consumers. Here to share some of the winners is Robert Levy, President and CEO of Brandspark.
Brandspark is an independent market research firm, and we surveyed more than 10 thousand consumers across the U.S. about the new products they love most. This year we have 31 winning products across a few different major consumer categories.
This winner in the single dose laundry detergent category is Tide PODS Plus Febreze Odor Defense. This is the first step in the new Tide + Downy Odor Defense Collection specifically designed to eliminate odors instead of just masking them. It is a four-in-one laundry detergent that cleans fabrics of odors while removing residue and surface stains. Consumers love that it is easy to use, is effective at eliminating odors and has a long-lasting fresh scent.
The winner in the men’s deodorant/antiperspirant category is Old Spice Hardest Working Collection Invisible Solid Odor Blocker Lasting Legend. Whether you are working out or working hard at the office, this collection brings together stronger and longer-lasting sweat protection. Consumers loved its long-lasting protection with a new and invigorating smell.
Doesn’t everyone love a good soup? The winner in the soup category is Idahoan Premium Steakhouse® Potato Soups. These soups not only taste great but they are easy to prepare. They are restaurant quality soups—hearty and flavorful with a slow-cooked taste—that are ready in minutes. Consumers told us they loved the product’s simple instructions paired with real red potatoes and red potato skins and the natural taste and texture.
The winner in the Mexican sauce/seasoning category is Ortega Skillet Sauces. These are a new way to season proteins like chicken, ground beef and seafood to easily make Mexican dishes at home. Shoppers love them because they are bold and tasty sauces that make mealtime quicker and easier. They are available in popular flavors like Fajita, Taco and Cilantro & Green Chile and come in a 7 ounce self-standing pouch for easy use.
This next product will be refreshing for our hot summer days. The winner in the specialty vodka category is Smirnoff Sourced, made with real fruit juice and SMIRNOFF No. 21 vodka. It’s gluten-free, made with no high-fructose corn syrup and contains 30 percent ABV. It is available in three flavors including Ruby Red Grapefruit, Pineapple and Cranberry Apple. Shoppers told us they love this product because the flavors are fresh and versatile with natural ingredients. Other consumers told us the vodka goes down smoothly and leaves a nice aftertaste so it’s perfect for creating a refreshing summer cocktail.
The winner in the diapers/training pants category is Pampers Easy Ups. Shoppers told us they like that these are a great transition diaper with cute designs that kids love. They look and feel more like real underwear but they still provide great leakage protection with the help of extra absorption and leakguard barriers.
