It’s National Pet Month and pet living expert Kristen Levine will share some tips to keep your pets happy and healthy. Burt Ward, who you may know as “Robin” from the Batman TV series, has dedicated the last 20+ years to rescuing dogs and helping them live longer, fuller lives. He will tell us all about his Gentle Giants Dog food and where you can find it.
Sadly, in South Korea many dogs are raised and then killed for dog meat. But, the Humane Society of the U.S. is working to shut down dog meat farms in South Korea. Those dogs are being transported to the U.S. and other countries to get the care they deserve. We talk to the CEO of the Humane Society, Kitty Block, about this.
May is also a month when we see increasing severe weather. Severe weather preparedness expert Cheryl Nelson has some tips on what you can do to get ready for severe weather and NOT get left in the dark. And, Firewise USA’s Cathy Prudhomme has advice on what you should do to protect your home and community from wildfires.
