SPG MASTER CLASS MOMENTS WITH BASEBALL LEGEND PAUL O’NEILL

He’s a five-time World Series winner, five-time MLB All Star, winner of the American League batting title. And recently, former New York Yankee and baseball legend Paul O’Neill, hosted nine lucky guests for an unforgettable day of baseball, batting and competition.

Thanks to the partnership between Major League Baseball and Marriott International’s SPG loyalty program, SPG members redeemed points learn from and bat against the Yankee legend and winner of five World Series. The day will culminate with the top five batters challenging O’Neill in a homerun hitting contest. But, the famous slugger will face a humorous twist – he’ll be using a wiffle ball and bat to even out the contest.

This master class is one of SPG’s Moments, a series of exclusive opportunities that members can access by redeeming their SPG Starpoints. On game day, the members making up team SPG will bring their best to the plate for a shot at bragging rights, additional SPG Starpoints, tickets to a 2018 Yankee game, and an opportunity to go head to head with baseball legend, Paul O’Neill. Ahead of the homerun contest, Team SPG will learn batting tips from Mr. O’Neill as part of the SPG “Master Class” Moments that offer hands-on learning experiences from superstars in sports, culinary, entertainment and lifestyle.
